1. Introduction
Mom Call My Hero ("the Service", "we", "our") is operated for parents and guardians ("Tutors") who use the app on behalf of their children. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your account and provide the Service
- To process voice calls with your child's AI hero
- To verify parental consent under COPPA
- To process in-app purchases and manage credit balances
- To send safety alerts and session summaries via push notification
- To improve app performance and diagnose issues
4. Third-Party Services
- LiveKit — real-time voice call infrastructure
- Deepgram — speech-to-text transcription of child voice
- ElevenLabs — text-to-speech for hero responses
- OpenAI / Groq — AI language model for hero conversations
- Supabase — database, authentication, and storage
- Google Play / Apple App Store — in-app purchase verification
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these independent providers. Users should review their respective privacy policies.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
The Service is used by parents on behalf of children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All account creation and consent is performed by the parent or guardian. If we learn that information was collected from a child without appropriate parental authorization, we will delete the information and suspend the associated account.
6. Data Retention
- Conversation transcripts: retained until deleted by the user or account deletion
- Session metadata: retained for the lifetime of the account
- Encrypted backups: purged within 30 days after account deletion
- Some data may be retained longer if required by law or for fraud prevention
- Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely to improve the Service
7. Security
All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and WSS. We implement industry-standard security measures including authentication systems, infrastructure security, and monitoring. No system can guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Deletion (Without Deleting Your Account)
You can delete specific data without deleting your account directly from the app:
Deleting individual call transcripts:
- Open the Mom Call My Hero app
- Go to Call History
- Tap on any call
- Tap the delete button to permanently remove that session and its transcript
Stopping future transcript storage:
- Open the Mom Call My Hero app
- Go to Settings → Privacy
- Toggle off “Save call transcripts”
What gets deleted vs. retained:
- Deleted: the selected session record and its conversation transcript
- Retained: your account, credit balance, hero settings, and child profiles
You may also request deletion of specific data by contacting us at info@momcallmyhero.com and specifying what you would like removed.
9. Account Deletion (Full)
To delete your account directly from the Mom Call My Hero app:
- Open the Mom Call My Hero app
- Go to Settings (gear icon in the top right)
- Scroll down and tap “Delete Account”
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted immediately, including:
- Your parent/tutor profile and email address
- All child profiles and configurations
- All conversation transcripts
- All hero settings and customizations
- Your push notification token
Alternatively, you may request account deletion by contacting us at info@momcallmyhero.com.
Following deletion:
- Certain information may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being permanently purged
- Some information may be retained longer if required by law or for fraud prevention
- Aggregated or fully anonymized data may continue to be used to improve the Service
10. Google Play Families Policy
Mom Call My Hero is committed to following the Google Play Families Policy. The app does not display ads, does not collect data for advertising purposes, and requires verified parental consent before children can use the Service.
